There is no problem having WP & PHPBB in the same DB. Use SecureMode and the DB name is whatever you configured in wp-config.php for the WordPress DB name.

I'm having a problem getting this to work. It keeps saying "Database Error. Connectivity to phpBB failed. See README for help" but there's no problems as far as I can see. Is there a problem having the SQL database for WP and PHP shared? I THINK the problem might be in the phpbb MySQL Database Name, because I honestly can't figure out what that IS through phpmyadmin, so I've just been using the name of the MySQL database itself. Is that right?

I managed to get it installed fine in VirtualBox without using the method above. I'll blog it and post a link here. Basically, I created a VHD but linked it on the IDE controller, not on the SATA or SCSI controller. If you dont do this, the installer cannot see the file system and 'craps out' lol. I also used the default ks.cfg file but modified the parameter for the smallest HD to 10gb. It crashed out when my VHD was 10GB but worked when it was set at 12GB. Only about 5.5GB of the VHD was used. I also had to extract the ISO, modify the ks.cfg and recreate the ISO again but making sure its still bootable by taking a copy of the boot loader. You can use magic ISO for this. Thought this might help someone out. I have spent hours on this! Need it for my virtual lab environment.

Hello Mervin,

Can both LDAP and local password file coexist?

Yes. Create a local realm.

how to segregate authentication knowing that wifi devices are on a very specific vlan?

Use the IP address of your very specific VLAN as the Source in your rule (in the Web Authentication layer) and point the authenticate action at your new realm.

I would also avise you post questions on https://forums.bluecoat.com/

Have Fun!
Nick

Hi , I am Mervin from Mauritius. My problem is not exactly as yours but may you can help.I need to let non domain users access our corporate network and browse internet.
I already have an LDAP realm configured for all internet users(domain members) to access internet through a Bluecoat proxy. I want to use the same Blueacoat proxy for those non corporate users to access internet from their mobile devices via a wifi access point. The wifi is accessible in a very specific area and client coming into our company will be allowed to browse internet.I have been asked to force them to authenticate and I am thinking about the local database password file. Can both LDAP and local password file coexist? how to segregate authentication knowing that wifi devices are on a very specific vlan?
Thanks in anticipation.
