Nasty F1 Accident
- oops!
My best friend is an accountant; he’s much cooler than me, very sociable and can pretty much drink anyone under the table !
We’ve been mates for years, hell, he was my best man, but I’ve always been the IT Geek out of the two of us. Well today the secret geek in him was revealed when I received this picture in an e-mail.
Awesome !

My PC Squeals when it’s working hard.
…Seriously !
I’ve got a Dell Latitue D610, I don’t know if that’s good or not; it’s a business one, so as long as it switches on in the AM and doesn’t die in front of a customer I’m happy
Now this is the 1st time I’ve had a Dell so I don’t know if this is normal, but while I was working today I decided to FTP a backup of my stuff onto it (about 4GB), and as I did, the laptop made a high pitched squeal ! As you can see from the screen shot of my system monitor, it’s working hard, but still that noise can’t be right !
Gnome Wallpaper - Blue & Simple
It’s been a while since I’ve done some art, so this eve’ I felt like a dabble, this is what I came up with…
I like gradients, blue and was aiming for something simple. A copy can be downloaded from gnome look here. I don’t suppose it’s good enough for art.gnome so I won’t bother ![]()
Site Advisor - A better browsing experience.
I really like Site Advisor, the best thing about it is the search engine integration, check out this screen-shot*
As you can see, you get a quick report before you even click on the link, only visiting green sites mean less pop-ups, less spy-ware and in overall a better Internet experience.
So Why am I mentioning this now ? Well my site just got it’s green tick, I’ve also signed up as a reviewer. Being a reviewer means that you can add the ‘human factor’ to their tests, so If you get a bad experience from a green site, or find a miss classified red one, you can get your voice heard !

Google Sharing with Reader !
I’ve just noticed today, that google have added a new sharing feature to google reader.
The results are quite cool, they offer the standard ’share my feeds’ feature that other places offer, but what I like is being able to share ‘star‘ items. I subscribe to a lot of feeds (too many to read if I’m honest), but sometimes it’s handy to star them so I can come back to them. Now my interesting items will be visible to the world !
