Quick question sir... How did you make the sub-directory inherit “print current directory” SSI code of the parent?

Thanks for the answer.

I understood the reason for improper display of these files.
I added the directive RewriteEngine Off in the file .htaccess and now everything looks correct and beautiful.

I'm using Apache 2.2.3.

Files HEADER.html and Readme.html on the page with the Directory Listing appears in the following sequence:

HEADER.html
Readme.html
Directory Listing

In what may be the reason?

Sorry if my english is not accurate.

Thanks for this page - really helped me with styling the (ugly) standard apache directory listings.

One thing I noticed was the icons in your file listings are a little high. I added the following to my header.shtml in the img section:

img {
 border: 0;
 vertical-align: middle;
}

And now the icons line up nicely with the text and it looks a lot neater.

Hi

First of all, GREAT directory listing :-)
Maybe I'm not getting this correctly, so I'm asking... I'm a Windows used and I have only worked in Microsoft IIS and the default directory listing is just awful :-(
I hope that one (or more) of you geeks ;-) can help me out with some code or even a /page/site I can run on my IIS and have this beautiful listing.

Hopefully someone is able to help me.

Thanks
